LA Stargate Con 2009 Report [Monday, November 9th, 2009 @ 10:44pm] missatralissa [ mood | accomplished ] Disclaimer for picture quality: For anyone who has been in those hotel rooms where they stage the actor talks, you know that the lighting is ATROCIOUS. And unfortunately, I was STUPID and forgot to switch the white balance on my camera at first. Thus, Cliff and Ben are far more yellow than the others. I apologize. The other issue I couldn't help, in those types of harsh lighting situations I had to have the ISO pumped all the way up to 1600. So, when I do fix the lighting and color in the images I can't help the grain. Lastly, any large blurry spots at the bottom of the images are thanks to the hair of the lady in front of me. I wanted to dump wanter on her and flatten her hair down. >.O This year's con was at the LA Marriott (same place we went to for Gallifrey this year) and let me tell you, this is NOT my favorite hotel. I mean, the rooms are okay and the facility is nice for a small convention, but the elevators are HORRIBLE and they make you wait like 15 minutes. And this time they never gave us a refrigerator so we had to keep our food in bags of ice in the trash can. Yes. We are ghetto. But, we had food all weekend and we spent a total of $40 for both of us. Don't judge us by the fact that we at tune made ( in the bathroom. ) I don't know why, but there were hardly any people at the convention this year. I'm going to go ahead and blame Stargate Universe. :D But you guys don't care about any of that crap do you, lets move onward to the talent that came.
